Bestie or Beastie? Aug. 23 '07

This is my new type of article, "Bestie or Beastie?". It is the preferences of a mad, tall blondie, and what really have made me mad too! Enjoy at your own risk, I am not to blaim for overdosing on poptarts, or reading too many magazines!

♥♥ BESTIES ♥♥
All things Japan!
This quirky love for Japan was only rekindled when I saw the funkiest, most marvy book in a University book shop today! It's called Japanese Schoolgirl Inferno and it was so great, I nearly bought it on the spot! (Didn't have enough money. Damn this shopping addiction!) But it has a whole bunch of fact-sheets on the Japanese school girl fashions, and what are the essentials of each schoolgirl group. Soooo great! ♥♥
In my opinion, the Japanese girls have really perfected the school girl look to where it's become fashionable and desirable to wear a uniform. I'm mad over Purikura machines, and am desperate to find one in my city. Did I mention my new slouchy socks?

Planning my life.
To me, it's not January that's the "New Year", but rather, fall and the beginning of classes. This is where I prepare myself to look the best I can, and do the best I can, so I can feel that I am the best I can be. This doesn't mean win everything, nor restrict myself to only studying, but put in all the effort to be someone I really admire.
Also... this tends to make me manifest and organize EVERYTHING before school starts.

Bags.
For the whole summer, I've been on a quest to find the perfect bag for school. It had to be big, but not the size of my whole torso, nor could it be flimsy. I finally fell in love with a really large domed GUESS bag, in ever-so-fab black. It's really chic, while having enough kitchy bling to make it urban. {Not only that, but it reminded me of a revamped version of the bags the school girls in Japan have! But shhhh! Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket} To make it more versatile, I'll tie one of my favorite scarves on the handle. Et, voila! New style!

Guilty Pleasure: GossipGirl
I admit it. I'm guilty of being a full-on hypocrite. When one of my friends first lent me the GossipGirl books, I detested them. I thought they were shallow, and not worth the paper they were printed on.
Well, that's back when I used to pronounce to all my friends that NIRVANA really was the greatest band that ever set foot on this Earth.
Times have changed, I've changed. The GossipGirl series is now...DA DA DUUUUM! One of my obsessions! I can't wait to read the 7th book, which I just bought, and am overly-anxious for the new television series. Ooh, the trash! Ooh, the fashion! Ooh, the gossipy guilty goodness! {Ooh, the alliteration!}

Finding money in your old purses.

Campus style. Campus food. Campus people. What more can you want?!

♦♦ BEASTIES ♦♦
Going for a makeover, and being terrified they'll mess up your hair.
I really love it, why would they want to change it!?
Being broke.
What's worse, being broke, or knowing that it's your addictions that got you there?
Feeling overwhelmed.
I'm overwhelmed not by work, but by all the stuff I have. I have tons of books to read, yet new ones I like come out almost weekly. I have tons of things to listen to, yet I search for more music to buy.
EGAD! Will it ever stop? Maybe when I get more organized. Hmm... Mental note for a full organization day on Monday!

Having people ask you about your personal plans, when they really don't need to know.
Ahem. Haven't they ever heard of privacy? Well, it basically means for you to stop asking me "Where? Why? When?", thank-you-very-much!
